Four Weeks Over, One To Go.

Weekly Summary Week 4

So we’ve reached the end of yet another week in our time here on this blog. It’s been a fun ride, I guess? Four weeks of four different mediums of representation on the digital space and four weeks of adventure. This week went by faster than the rest. Firstly, I had some trouble with my teeth and had to go to the dentist to find out I might need to re-align my teeth because they got pushed forward somehow. It sucks. Also, my sister graduated from high school on Friday, so not only is she going to be doing the college thing now too, but it makes me feel even older. But I did get a cupcake, and I will be getting another cupcake today as I watch Star Wars. Not sure if I’m talking about the movie or one of the Disney seasons. I watch them both. Or I might just skip all that together and play the Old Republic because I somehow managed to schedule everything so I have today completely free.

Anyway, let’s get on with this Weekly Summary. By far the hardest assignment for me to pull off was the Lyric Snippet Video Assignment. I spent about four hours trying to get everything right and in the end, I decided to do the entire song because it just repeats. It was fun, though, and I enjoyed every moment. The other video assignment, What Do You Love?, was also my favorite, because I got to go through all the videos and photos of my dog and pick what I wanted to fit the three minutes of music. I kind of wish I had more time to work on it and make it cleaner, but throughout the week, as I was working on it, MovieMaker decided to play pranks on me. It cut off the volume of my computer and had me restart it, it restarted the entire project down to the title screen, and it started deleting music. Pretty sure it was cursed. But it didn’t do that to the snippet video. It was just being annoying and rude.

So those were our video assignments, but that didn’t encompass a number of videos watched this week. No, we go to analyzing videos without sound or video or learning to read a movie. I think it does say something about us as a society on how we perceive reality whenever we watch a movie. Especially with the left and right thing. It might explain myself because in the beginning of a movie I usually like the antagonist more. I’m left-handed and favor anything on the left, so the placement of the antagonist on the left makes it so I see them first and want to listen to them first. It’s just these small instances that say how we as a society think.

Other than this, we had four daily creates. From mermaids on a bridge to multiple puppies, it was an interesting week. We can’t leave out the nervous potato or the try not to scream clickbait. Alongside this, I made four more contacts on other blogs and enjoyed that.

There’s not much else to say. We’ve got one week left and then it’s summer once again. No more textbooks, no more worrying about waking up in time to make sure I get everything done in one day, and no more worrying in general. I mean, I’ve still got a lot to worry about during this summer, but without classes, at least I won’t have to worry about college that much right now.

It’s been a week.
