Visual Assignment Week 1 – #1 Can You See What I See?

For this visual assignment, I found an eye on Pinterest, which I thought looked bright. I wanted a bright surface so the reflection could blend in. It took a while to decide what the image would reflect, however, due to there being many objects that could be reflected. In the end, I decided to go with someone walking through the dirt. I layered the two images and placed the feet at the center of the eye. The dirt creates an iris in the center of the green and tells the story of a woman watching someone walk away from her. Even though the person’s feet are getting dirty and twigs smash against their skin, they don’t want to turn back. Instead of looking at the back of their head, the woman focuses on the feet, waiting for the person to turn back around because it’s more painful to walk through said dirt.

In more of a narrative¬†sense, I placed the dirt to create an iris in the center of the green and tells the story of a woman watching someone walk away from her. Even though the person’s feet are getting dirty and twigs smash against their skin, they don’t want to turn back. Instead of looking at the back of their head, the woman focuses on the feet, waiting for the person to turn back around because it’s more painful to walk through said dirt.
